If you like your square headlights...
... more power to you. If you want to paint your Jeep pink with red stars, and lift it three feet, enjoy whatever flavor you like! I just personally wouldn't enjoy the square headlights as much as the round variety. I do seem to gravitate towards the CJs so far, but I would definitely consider a brand new Jeep, for the longer lifespan and ease of finding a rust free copy. I also like the 50's split windshield Dodge Power Wagons, but I couldn't afford to restore one, so my other truck interest - Jeep, is in my future!

Dan, you know those "square head lights" are sensitive.....kinda like the middle child syndrome - we are kind and gentle to them

Planning ahead to get back into a Jeep
I'm signing up for this forum because I can't wait to get a Jeep, and I want to start learning about the different Jeeps, e.g. CJ, Wrangler, anything without square headlights.
I had a Cherokee Sport that I took off road on occassion, and it was a good trusty vehicle. Right now I'm a law student and I commute a few hundred miles each week, so I have a Mazda3 for the fuel economy and price. I'd much rather be in a Jeep, but can't afford a second car. The minute I no longer need a commuting vehicle, I want to buy a Jeep. I'd appreciate any advice you can give me on books describing the different models, good websites selling Jeeps where I can check prices, and any other good Jeep porn to keep my morale up until I can get a Jeep!
