The reason you don't talk about fight club is so people who are against fight club don't hear you talking about it. That way fight club doesn't get ruined and we can continue fight club.

local15Rob Usually, what the lift cost is mirrored by installation. Dollar for dollar. Except for the really high priced ones. Some shops have a set rate
11-23-2014 09:09 AM
MikD I dont know what the going rate for a lift install is but anybody who is going to stand behind their work probably wont be the cheapest guy around. I used to do that stuff for free, lifts, clutches, etc but not anymore, once its free people treat you as such.

Couldn't agree more. Charged me $500 to install a budget boost that i supplied years ago and didn't even do an alignment. I was new to TJs at the time and had no clue I got ripped off. Last time I went there

MikD His frame work is top notch, he has done several of the frames in out group and they come out very nice.

Just pictures. he showed me a bunch of pics of that build. Check out his facebook page too. I think it speaks for itself. Variety of work that he does and it all looks solid. His shop is super clean and I think that says a lot about someone who works on vehicles. Anyway, I'd say check the place out. I can give a full review when I get the frame work done on my 2000 tj.

Orange County Jeep Works is pretty solid. Getting a bunch of stuff done there in about a week. Pretty cool guy as well.

MikD First negative thing I've heard in 5yrs with that one. Wonder why he wanted that much??

ZoranZ Aren't rules of the forum to not discuss stuff like that? I thought people get banned for that? I mentioned a similar thing a while back and received some nasty grams from some moderators saying only legal offroad use allowed. It's just a public forum and people probably want it to stick around.

chat1051 Hey ya know what would help... if we stopped making a big deal of things. People are going to do what ever they want and they assume the risks of their own actions. Lets all mind our own business. To each their own.

Why don't you guys join a group and wait until you get a sanctioned mt beacon run?

I couldn't agree with you more

MikD Only issue for a stock jk especially the 4dr is ground clearance. Spend some time on easy trails to get a feel for it and you'll be amazed at how well they work.

I'm a new and first-time JKUS owner and would love to join you guys! I just got a 2015 and no mods right now... any idea if this would be appropriate for a JK fresh off the assembly line?

ZoranZ Hi everyone, here over in Beacon... Finally have another jeep on the way. I had a 2012 jku sahara but had to get rid of it when my daughter was on the way. Picking up a new (to me) 2000 tj this week. Once I recover from the purchase will probably get re-geared, lift, etc.. I was surprised to find a 2000 with semi low miles (143k) with a dana 44, and 3.73 gears.

Since i'm not technically inclined.. Any experienced shops in the area that does work like this?

Also been enjoying reading this thread. Seems like a cool community you guys got going here.
