|White93ARB||Thanks a lot for looking into it for me 4point. I might do that, but I already told the guy to go ahead and do that deal for $750 for the locker and good 31 (I'm pretty sure) spline axles, and whatever else it is that I need. Kinda unrelated, but come to think of it, the passenger side is the wheel that hit the curb when I tipped the Jeep....dumb hit and run, not my fault at all, accidental PIT maneuver into a 180 into an island. I tipped on my side on the island and she jammed. Ballsy old hag. But yeah maybe it wasn't me beating on the Jeep and it was that curb that did it.|

|White93ARB||Thanks Jeeperman. The $1300 still wouldn't include a locker or gears, right? Or could I at least get it in 4.56? The welding would be some money. A lot of stuff that would probably end up costing more. I know it would be stronger but I don't have much more options as far as cash right now.|

For $1650, I would look into buying a complete rear axle assembly from Currie, Dynatrac or the like, and do the install yourself. I know that the Currie axles start around $1300 for the housing and shafts and you build from there. I know that you can get them completely welded up with your stock spring perches. All you would have to do is paint it, bolt it in and go.
EDIT: Plus the axle would be about twice as strong as your D35c

|White93ARB||Yeah 90 somethin bucks an hour isn't easy on the wallet. I'll see what he has to say the next time I talk to him, Monday most likely, and I'll keep my eyes on craigslist until then. But upgraded axle shafts is really something I need, so it makes it that much better. And with another axle I could be getting screwed, and this mechanic has looked over the parts I am going to buy. And he specializes in air lockers so I trust him.|

So the problem is getting solved...ARB WTF?
So most of you saw my long thread about the horrible grinding I was experiencing upon deceleration. I finally ended up taking it to a shop earlier this week, after it sat in my driveway for around a month, meanwhile I was bumming rides. From what the mechanic told me today, the C-clip eliminators were messed up, along with a good list of other stuff, and said he called ARB and these parts are no longer available for my locker, and I would need a whole new locker. And he said 2 new axles, too. BUT he was telling me he has a customer who just put a D60 in theirs and have exactly what I need, including upgraded axle shafts. All for $750. He had been trying to get ahold of the guy, but couldn't, and then, while we were on the phone, the guy pulls into his parking lot. What timing. So he said it would be $1650 once its all said and done with the labor, and for a new rear u-joint, too. Thats axle seals, too, since my passenger side one was trashed, leaking lots of fluid onto everything. I know it is all a little steep, but at this point I just need to be driving, so it's not too bad. And I know its a lotta money to put into a D35 but I don't have more money to do an upgrade. So...if anyone was wondering what was wrong with my junk when you were reading the thread, thats it. So finally I'll be Jeep'n again real soon.
So basically...ARB changed design, so when a little part fails, and its not available, you have to replace the whole damn unit? WTF ARB?
