This guy had same issue...broke the fuel pump. I have read another thread on here somewhere a guy hit from the rear...same deal broken fuel pump. Good luck.
You can add me to that list as well. Fuel pump snapped in half inside fuel tank.

Now I just have to wait patiently until it is fixed along with my newly bent axle.

Kevbz I may be a bit off here, but following the air spark fuel theory, quick shot of starting fluid in the intake to ensure air and spark?

It sounds like a fuel thing going on, maybe the tank moved a bit and the wires to the fuel pump are off?

98blktj Guess I will just have to have my mechanic check it out tomorrow and see what he says. Thanks again guys!

I will keep posted on what I find out too.

I would think that even if fuel shutoff happened it would have turned over for a short period before stalling.
It could shut off fuel while running then killed itself I guess

98blktj Thanks for the quick reply. I took your advice and swapped the asd relay with the horn to troubleshoot and still will not turn over. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

98 wrangler accident

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum just bought my first jeep about a month ago and now I have had a bit of bad luck. I have a 98 wrangler and this evening someone slid into my drivers side rear tire and now my jeep will not start. I have searched the internet and I haven't really found a good answer about there being an emergency fuel shut off. I want to know if there is or isn't one on my jeep if there isn't does anyone have any ideas? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.
Mike
