amerijeep Oh I found what you are talking about. Skeezer made a comment that didn't relate to the questions. I think that would have thrown some people off. Gotta be careful. You'll have someone gettin' the wrong size tires and causin' issues. You probably should quote the poster you are replying to in those situations so that no one gets confused.

mrbigjeep oh sorry i meant with the 2.5" lift...the dude said he had a 2.5" lift and 31's and i was saying that he could clear some 32's easily WITH the 2.5" lift...but yes i actually am going in to get my 32's mounted today...it was supposed to be yesterday but fedex only shipped 3 tires...so im goin in today for the 32's...ill let ya know...sorry about the misunderstanding but i meant he could clear the 32's easily with the 2.5" lift

I'm not sure that's true. I think they might rub under the fenders in the right conditions. You've run 32s with no problems?

thanks, i actually got my wheels and tires in today and I put them on. I took pics but i lost the damn cable to transfer to the computer. I only did 31x10.5's on the stock height with a +6 offset on the wheels. The only stick about 1". Just enough to look aggressive and of course no rubbing at all. I even climbed a few rocks to see if under minor flex it would rub and they didnt' come close. Again, thanks for the help.

Wrangler Lift

I have a 2006 TJ Sport. I lifted 2.5" and put 31" MXTRUS M/T Tires on it with PROCOMP Alloy 15x8" wheels. Looks perfect !!

1BLKJP Ha, yeah, that was just after I had let it sit way too long. I think it rained about a week later. It's been getting a regular washing about the past month because we are in Monsoon season here and it rains about twice a week at night.

amerijeep Wash that thing, Jack! Looks like you washed yours about when I washed mine last. Can't remember when that was.....

amerijeep I could take shots of mine, but it's a YJ. They'll go on the TJ. It has more clearance than my YJ does.

Giancarlo any more pics of stock suspension wranglers with 31 inch tires?

thanks for the quick reply, it's much appreciated. It's a pain to try and visualize what a setup is going to look like until it's on and we all know that modding isn't cheap so it would suck to buy something then have it look retarded. Now i just have to find a new way to get into my favorited trails considering i was rubbing the stock tires on trees to fit into a small quad trail. LOL.

JoshX wow, i'm so glad i caught this thread. I've got a set of 31x10.5 BFG muds on the way with 15x8 wheels and i was concerned that it would not work with a stock height until i get around to a small lift. Thanks to those of you that posted up your rides with that setup. It looks sick.

One question though, do any of you recommend getting the wider fender flares to help hide the tire because from the online calculators i was using it seems that the tire is going to be about 1.5"-2" further out than stock and i'm wondering how that might look. Or is there another aftermarket fender option that may look better in place of the stock fenders/flares for the 04 TJ's?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: sorry about hijacking the thread

1BLKJP Here's a front shot of mine a few years ago. I thought that was pretty sick flex at the time. HA I ran 31's on stock rims with no lift.

Bluesman last year, no mods, 31x10.5 BFG muds with 15x8 steel rims.

Giancarlo does anyone have a pic of what it will look like to have 31 tires on a stock suspension?
07-31-2006 06:54 PM
Bluesman I had 31x10.5 on stock 15x7 rims without rubing and no steering stop adjustment.
Went with the 31BFG muds with after market 15x8 steel wheels and like the wider stance (less backspace) better, still no rubbing.

However at flex those puppies are stuffed in there, I won't use my quick disconnects until I get a bit more lift.

whut is a good tire and rim setup on a 06 Wrangler with stock suspension. the reason i say that is because i do not want to raise my vehicle i just want nice good off road rims and tires
