I push a camper into a tight spot with my Jeep. The only probelm is that you cannot see around the trailer. My old Commando had an offset hitch receiver on the front so you could see down one side.
And pulling a trailer while connected to the front hitch is much harder than pulling while connected to the rear hitch.

|friedfish||Also its easier to back a trailer up if your hooked up to the front bumper. For some people backing up a trailer is easy. But I'm still new to trailers and do everything I can to not back up a trailer.|

|Dextreme||I am going to get a front mounted receiver hitch and rack so I can load my deer...should be easy with the winch. I think the front will be better for going down dusty roads to keep the meat cleaner.|

|Wish_Master_3||OK yea ive looked and found a front hitch but then got to lookin and found the racks that mount to the spare tire carrier? was thinkin this might be better so all the luggage is in the back and dont have 3' stickin out the front since i already about take out the front of cars with the rear carrier cause i forget all about it being back there but saw one that said it mounted to the factory tailgate with spare tire on it supports 50lbs and with out tire it supports 250lbs but then people say a 35" tire will break the tailgate now i dont have a spare tire on and not tryin to load it down but what about something like one of those?|

|Kilroy||I strap a bag filled with chains, tow strap, D-Rings, etc. to the top of the hitch for winter driving. No radiator problem. But is is cold! I expect a rack would also hold everything at least a foot from the grille. And that may be enough clearance, even in summer.|

|s3nt3nc3d||The only issue I see this possibly having...with a loaded front rack, how is your radiator going to get any air flow to cool your engine?|

Front Mounted hitch?
I have a 05 TJ SE and was wondering if I could buy a hidden hitch, is there a way I can just mount it on the front like its mounted on the back? I want to have a little more storage room when I go on vacation. I use a cargo rack on trips and but one rack isnt enough room for a wife and a baby. So anyone ever done this or know how I can do this with out buy a whole differnet bumper?
