|mrbigjeep||i personally do not care for the JK...it looks way too much like a concept car...i prefer my TJ...and it has a minivan engine...no more trusty 4.0|

|bluvikng||I agree with you, they definately have gone after the mall crowd with the new JK. According to there offical website, the Rubicon is still alive and well for 07. You can check it out at, www.jeep.com The only thing they took away, was the yellow color. It is not available for 07.|

|Wr@ngler00||Now with all that said what do you guys think about this new JK coming out? Do ya'll like the looks? I dont! I like the yj and the tj for sure but this thing looks like something out of this world really!!! It his the liberty front end and it looks more like something my mom would drive around. As far as performance goes i cant speak on this but looks i dont like. What do yall think???? And i heard they wont be making the rubicons anymore,,,,is this true?|

|amerijeep||Don't worry. The YJ is always going to be my first love. I may never get another Jeep anyway. No TJ appeals to me enough to buy it and I can't find a YJ in descent shape.|

Now there's a scary thought. Just when I was thanking my stars for my YJ. Between the gas cap, engine, tranny, and suspension problems being discussed on the TJ's I figured I'd just drive the YJ till she drops!

|mrbigjeep||well that doesn't sound too bad to me...mild lift is good...good luck though|
|08-03-2006 11:23 PM|
Well, nothing huge. Very mild mods. It really is going to depend on what I buy. I really want an orange jeep and it would be difficult to get my dark green jeep to be orange. It'll have a mild lift, but...... very red neckish.
Anyway, I don't want to hi jack this thread.

|mrbigjeep||very nice...sounds good to me...and i know what ya mean about not fealin like your really Jeepin'...what kind of makeover are we talkin?|
|08-03-2006 11:14 PM|
I'm in the market for a TJ or YJ. I just have to find the one that feels right. Once I get a second Jeep, the ole YJ is getting a little makeover.
|08-03-2006 11:10 PM|
|mrbigjeep||maybe you should get a TJ one day|

Sounds like 4Jeepn got you on track, which is a good thing. I don't know much about a TJ except that I might need one to sit beside my YJ one day.
I would like to welcome you to Wrangler Forum though!

Thanks for the advice. The lever for the hot/cool air was sticking and the previous owner showed me how to fix it underneath the passenger footwell. I am installing an Alpine head unti from my other car on Saturday, so I will be sure to check the connections to the HVAC system. I do not really know what to look for but I will see if anything is out of the ordinary. I would just hate to make a trip to the dealer to pay out the butt for a simple fix.

|4Jeepn||AJ welcome. Sounds like the door for the HVAC system is sticking on you. HAve you taken appart the center dash yet and looked to see of everything looked okay with the control pod? Just pop the front long plastic section that butts upto the windshiled them unto 2 screws and pop the center overlay off the hvac and radio controlas.. then I think its 4 screw to remove the unit it self. look it over and hopefully someone else may chime in with more info.|

New TJ Owner...have question
I recently picked up a 98 Sport Utility for a fantastic deal. The Jeep is in pristine condition. It's a stick (no other way to have it). Everything seems to be working fine except one little issue. Hot heat is coming from underneath the dashboard and it blows on the driver's and passenger's feet. I tried to look underneath to see what what going on but I could find nothing. The whole climate control lever and switches are having issues. Can anyone guide me in the right direction as to what may be wrong? The air is so hot that it burns my feet when I am driving with sandals.
