|KidRock171||Can you replace his arms but send them to me?|
|12-13-2011 07:31 PM|
Thank you for the offer to replace them but I went another way

|KidRock171||Makes sense. Crafty work sir. I can't wait to get my hands on yalls arms, I've been eyeing them for a while.|

|dave@rokmen||It's is a little more simplified and reliable this way - and the look is more utilitarian which is more of what we were shooting for visually.|
|12-13-2011 02:12 PM|
|KidRock171||was there a specific reason y'all designed it with a two handle operation instead of single pull like a truck tailgate?|

Thanks kidRock - The tailgate you see in the picture is actualy mounted on Niblet. Niblet is owned by Rokmen(aka both Jeff and I). I've been daily driving Niblet since the summer, the tailgate has been in the works for a while and just recently went on permanantly a few weeks ago.
There is not a ton more to say about it than what is on the website. Do you have any specific questions I can help with?
Jeff loves it because of the clean lines and the old school look - while I'm completely geeked out by the simple slam shut action. The storage compartment is very useful - The main thing we are always in the back of the jeeps for when offroad is Recovery straps and related gear. So that's what we keep in it. It's soooo much more conveinant than fumbling around with bags and boxes of gear strapped in the back. Just drop the tailgate, open the door and everything is right in front of you like looking in a tool drawer.
If you want to see more of Niblet, you can see the full build in our picture gallery:

Hash tag Winning
Dave, any extra comments on the awesome tailgate you guys designed. Have you installed it on one of your rigs yet?

Unfortunately this is the first time we are seeing these.
I can absolutely assure anyone seeing this, and the purchaser that arms absolutely do not go out of here like that. We are pretty meticulous about what we do here, down the custom boxing and foam inserts our control arms are shipped in. We would never send out anything that looked like that. We have absolutley nothing to gain by sending something out like that.
Not to take away from the customer - but those look 100% purposely beat up,scraped on the side of a bench, or gone after with a potato peeler and the greese zerks purposely knocked off. Which must have occured between us and the receiver. There have been an instance or two where packages have been opened in the past, but never has we seen one opened, the product purposely dammaged, and then sent on.
Regardless, there is no way we would have let that go without exchanging them.
Given this is the first time seeing this, we will still exchange them. Give us a call so we can look up the order and get you a call tag.

|KidRock171||You really should have pressed the issue, those are really banged up and there's no reason you shouldn't have gotten a fresh set.|

I agree those are beat up, but those look like tooling marks, not wheeling scratches. And the grease fittings could have been beaten up by shipping.
No doubt im sorry for your bad experience with them. I have had nothing but good.

Every company has problems, even Currie, Savvy and everyone else.
Dont sway your opinion if you havent seen their products or talked to them. I think they are a pretty great shop. To the guy that had beat up arms...
Got any pictures?

I have their front bumper, their corner armor, and this tailgate on order and will be getting the majority of my parts for the rest of my upgrades from them...sliders, arms, etc...

|12-10-2011 08:54 AM|
|solman||It looks nice but for $450 you would think they could have come up with a single latch handle instead of one on each side, and a pair of hinges that dont look like they were bought at a local hardware store.|
