Norcal73 Sams Club...$30 for two ammo cans. One larger one smaller. I have three old, original military ones sitting in garage that won't hardly open. Seem to bind pretty good when trying to open them so rather than put any time in on them saw these today.

Don't know where to put them yet but I'm sure they can be useful. That's crazy....my wife says.....

Figured out a way to secure my rifle safely yet provide quick access when I'm on the property.
Of course when I drive out it goes back into its case behind the seats out of sight.

Still needs electrical and relocation of the quick disconnects, but should be operating within the week.

Looks good. I'm interested in doing the same. Are those 10mm mirrors? Did you have to remove the door hinge bushing to get them in? What is the "simple mount"?

Here is my question- Can I drop the Jeep V6 Engine into this frame? If so is there any other major components I would need to change as well? If I cant change the engine- what are some solutions for the 4 banger??
The reason I ask, is because my wife and I do a lot of camping. We are planning on getting a trailer for the jeep to put the camp stuff in. I am worried that pulling a trailer in the 4 banger will be hell (especially going up hill on a highway). I know on the trails, I wont have an issue. Please advise!!
Typically, the cheapest way to swap engines in a TJ is to sell the one you have and buy a different Tj with the 4.0L

Scruffy Wilson it can be done. . but its expensive. . more expensive then it would be to juat buy a new jeep and sell the 4 banger

I have never done it but I hear you can expect to pay 10k plus.. if your attached to that jeep to much to sell it id just spend a little more and get a even better moder... lots of people like the v8 swap.. and im sure there is a bunch of build threads on it
