Thanks Fox, i've looked into that when the day comes i will follow yoru advice but for now the problem with that is i just started college so im' still with my parents and we live in an apartment building that does not have a garage to store tools so unless i keep the air tank in my room and run a long hose down from the 3rd story, i'm out of luck with air tools goes .
1blkjp thanks for the reply, so you're saying is thats worthless then? I only wish to use it for whenever i need something done quicker. Hmm so i'd be disappointed then.

Sorry about the red lock-tite comments. I use red on everything because the gun we use has 1200 lbs. of reverse.

|foxinthemudd||what nuts are you supposed to be checking If I may ask??? I think mine might be loose but I can't seem to narrow it down to which ones. Pic's if you got them would be the most helpful.|

|Jma20a||i would say to use the blue also. with the red you are going to have to heat up the nut and bolt to loosen it.|

|Jerry Bransford||I'd use blue (non-permanent) Locktite, not red. Red is considered "permanent" and is a booger to get apart when that day comes. What's green Locktite for?|

You can use red locktight or use the green but allow it to dry, you don't have to slather it on either, just a dab or two, let it dry then run the bolt in. On alot of the parts the factory uses blue, again a dab or two, let it setup and run the bolt in.
X2 on the factory bolts, they use tapered ones because the robotics can start them easier which is also the reason for torx, they don't fall off the robotic tools as easy as phillips or hex.

|1BLKJP||There's no need for all that Trip. The stock hardware works just fine. However with all of our twisting and jostling the nuts can have a tendancy to back off a tad. That's why pre and post run checks of your rig are important. Personally when I swapped out my suspensions I went with new bolts because the stock hardware is tapered a bit and can cause the joints to bang around a bit. They don't do this with bushings because of the play that you have. So I swapped out for Grade 8 bolts and Nylock nuts. They don't back off anymore.|

you need crimped nuts for that. That is the nuts are crimped in the middle so they are not perfectly circular. This makes them very hard to remove and install however they do not loosen.
If you want to look around get the same size bolt with a hole in it so you can put one of those lock nuts with a pin that goes through the bolt so it does not move at all. (right 1 on my image and no image of the crimped nut)
btw which control arms do you have? take a pic if you dont know.

lol isnt that the truth.
Do you think there would be issues with the bushings if there is ~25,000 miles on the jeep? Hopefully they arnt that bad.
If they are worn out should I replace them with poly bushings?

|1BLKJP||It could honestly be the bushings starting to loosen up on the control arms which is causing a tad more vibration than normal. That being said there would be nothing wrong in my opinion to putting some red lock tight on them and putting the gun to them again. Should eliminate your problem, just make sure you are using your gun if you need to take them off someday.|

Suspension Bolts Keep Backing off..
Alright.. a few months back I posted issues with the suspension bolts on my wifes jeep.
Its currently got a 4" lift kit and 33x12.5x15 tires and over time the suspension bolts keep backing off and loosening up.
When I first bought the jeep in Texas, it was VERY unstable. had stock OEM Load range B tires w/ the 4" Lift and loose suspension. The dealership was looking for somebody to take it off their hands because nobody wanted it.
- First time tightened them by hand.
- Second time took a 350ft/lb impact gun and torqued them down
3 Months later, the stupid suspension nuts have backed off again and loosened back upagain. (since we replaced the tires its much more stable though)
Would it be difficult to loosen up the control arms / suspension components to put some Lock-Tight (need more like Lock-Forever!) on these things with out causing problems?! This vehicle is her daily driver and becomes a weekend warrior from time to time.
