|GeckoJK||Gecko is an option on the Jeep.ca site now. If it is available as an option on there then it would make sense it is available for order now|

|tgeep||Anyone with Cosmic in there name can certainly say rainbowy. The Charger a few years back had a lime like green that was flat and less shiny than I suspect a pearlcoat to be.|

Yes, I said rainbowy.

|lulu13||I have been stalking this site for a while for any news on Gecko and finally to join & chime in. I see that Gecko is listed as pearlcoat on the Canadian website. Also to note, if you belong to Costco, gecko is listed as an option in their auto program. Does anybody know if you can tour their Toledo plant once production starts to see what the color will look like as it comes off the line?!? I want to order one ASAP, but the color variances in photos scare me a bit.|

Today I followed up on yesterday's call to Jeep Customer Service. The girl provided information that back's up Pat's information on the release date of Gecko. She refuted the guy's information of yesterday by saying Gecko will be available for order in early February 2012 (as Pat has told us). For what it's worth, I asked if her information showed Gecko as a pearl color but she said it doesn't. No news on any other colors in the pipeline.

|GeckoJK||I have been watching the Jeep.ca site for a few days now. Yesterday Gecko showed up but it says image coming soon when you build one. I am hoping this is a sign it will be available for order soon|

Mel143: Thanks for the information regarding your frustrating call to Adam at Jeep Customer Service. As you said, most of the times I've called there the people are as helpful as they can be and consistent but this Adam seemed clueless and useless.
Dimisani: Hopefully Gecko, if released, will look vibrant and better than in the Wrangler vehicle picture in the brochure. Most of the colors shown as stones in the brochure look somewhat different than the already released colors (Dozer and Crush) that we have seen in the metal so Gecko may be better or worse than those stone colors. If you do go with XTerra you mentioned the color they call "Metallic Blue". I saw a new XTerra in a parking lot with a super cool and vibrant green that Nissan's site calls "Metallic Green". As on the Jeep internet site, the green looks crummy but in the metal its a knockout. I'd get my Rubicon this moment if they offered that color. Check it out and good luck.

This is gonna be the longest time I was obsessed with expensive item. Hopefully Gecko will come out and I get my JKUR. Otherwise it will be XTerra in Blue. Hopefully Chrysler won't screw it up and collect my $33K. But it seems idiocy rules up there - I can't believe where this marketing strategy came from!

|email@example.com||I haven't seen Gecko, I did get a prespec call of duty. I'm still waiting for a response from my contact. I too am waiting to see gecko before I buy one. If I don't like the gecko then I'll order a black one.|

Thanks Pat. The guy I spoke to at Jeep was named Adam and he said his supervisor was not allowed to speak to me. I did register a complaint about this contradictory unexplainable information they gave me.
Since you have seen Gecko, is it a dull flat color or shiny and vibrant and do you like it? I would prefer Detonator Yellow or the new Stinger Yellow in the new Challenger and Charger special editions.

Gecko is OUT?: To Pat @ Fields Jeep
Just spoke to Jeep customer service representative at 877-426-5337 inquiring about Gecko release. His supervisor told him Gecko was PREVIOUSLY released as a limited availability color to certain dealerships and production has already ceased. He wouldn't or couldn't give me the dates the Gecko color was supposedly produced. Basically a small limited supply of Geckos were built and there will be no more. I told him this was a smack in the face of everything I had heard while waiting for this color since last September and that my regular calls to his customer service number had never told me anything other than the Gecko color was late availability after the first of the year 2012. This is very frustrating!
Pat, can you verify this? And possibly would Stinger Yellow become available instead?

|NFRs2000NYC||I think the saddle/black interior is the most "luxury" looking. People always drop jaws when looking at my Sahara, in disbelief that a Wrangler can have such a nice interior. It's still just as capable offroad, just that I can get there in style too.|

|Cosmic Charlie||There are a lot of things missing on the jeep.com site. In the Build Your Own, there is no longer a selection for a hard top or a body color hard top. Not sure what's going on over there...|

Gecko is missing now on the Jeep.com site but still offered on Jeep.ca.
Nice colour for sure.
