|Carralo1||Body roll would be my biggest concern with that bl that high. But if you have already gone through the hassle to lengthen the things needed with the body lift and if you like the way it rides, then I'd say don't worry about swapping it for a smaller lift. Swapping the lift itself is pretty straightforward, just replace the 11 ( i believe) pucks|

Dragging this old thread up because I'm about ready to do the SOA and thought now would be a good time to get rid of the body lift, if I'm going to.
Is there any real advantage to dumping the body lift? The SOA will give me more than enough height for what I need. I know that the body lift adds some extra probability to tipping over or coming off your wheels by raising the center of gravity, but are there any other advantages?
If I did do this, I would likely trade the 3 inch system for a 1 inch daystar system to drop the extra height but still have bushings in place.

Any reason not to do this? or should I just keep the body lift and the SOA and deal with the height?

|4Jeepn||I would look up the install instructions for a 3-4" body lift and see what your looking at to reverse it all. Then check your jeep and see if you have that stuff installed on yours.|

Going from a body lift to a suspension lift
I had considered this as a spring project but the more I think about it it might be a bigger hassle than it's worth.
My shocks and the rest of my suspension is pretty much shot. Time for an upgrade. That said, I have this horrible 4 inch body lift I'd like to get rid of in exchange for a nice 4 inch suspension lift on my YJ.
What's involved in getting rid of a body lift in moving to a suspension lift? Other than the suspension kit, what parts will I need to be careful to move/check/change? I know there's a lot of issues with steering and the transmission with the body lift. Not sure how those issues will play out when I go to remove them and go about lifting another way.
Looking for any advice on how to do it.. and for that matter if it's even worth doing.
