stroh I'm not offended, just offering a possible reason for the pattern. I do agree if the wording is pretty much cut and paste then you kinda have to think it is the same person.

Of course I'm not saying that they are all fraudulent when there's only one review. I'm saying that there are certain patterns that make it more likely. I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm just saying.

Take the dealership I used to go to. Almost every day, a new 5-star review would post with almost the same wording, and every single one would mention, by name, the exact same salesman who is apparently a god among men, if you believe these reviews. NONE of them ever return to review anything else.

I even contacted the salesman, politely informing him that the efforts were transparent, and that they'd be better served allowing the real reviews (like mine, which was good) to shine. I told him I liked the dealership and wanted to continue recommending it to others, but wouldn't be comfortable doing so when they were being unethical, "stacking the deck" with fake reviews.

He refused to stop, so I refused to return or recommend them further.

I'm a regular user of Yelp, and Orlando has a pretty active (online and in-person) reviewer community, and we tend to be pretty sensitive to that kind of misuse of the system, because it gives everyone involved (including Yelp) a bad name.
That explains a lot. I don't have a yelp account. I hit that site to look at our reviews, but that's really it. I'll forward that info to the right person at BMW.

BTW - employees at Fields BMW have been doing that as well, so I hope that behavior doesn't start at the CJD dealership. It's dishonest, unethical, and makes the entire dealership look bad.
