flatline 35 rear when it was new. then wasted money with super 35 kit. I run a 44 out of a 89 MJ now. seen to many broken axles on the 35. had to replace a friends while running the rubicon. on cadilac hill. not a place you want to break.

Ibuildembig I ran 38 boggers on blackie until I made it a full blown crawler and it was pretty narrow....but to get it that narrow I used a H1 hummer wheel with over 6 inches of backspace

flatline I did measure it once, and it was about the same width outer tire to tire as a stock chevy 1/2 ton. when I put some 38.5 ground hawgs on I was a rolling violation. and I still didn't blow the front 30 up with 38's. but that was for a snow run.

Id bet a 12 pack your red jeep is has a wider footprint than my GE project

flatline just finished putting a 44 front in friends YJ. 76 ford f-150 chopped, rubicon inner axles, dodge outers. high steer. 8.8 rear with adapters for 5 on 5.5. and full width axles on YJ stick out way to far. I have thought about doing it anyway. probably get alot of tickets here in Calif.

Ibuildembig Thanks for reminding me ^^^, if you want to stay 5 lug instead of 8 (not sure why you would, but) the only axle that will be as close to a bolt in as you can get would be a 76-79 F150 SUPERCAB truck, and it has to be a supercab because every other 5 lug 44 front was coil sprung. I would never cut up a full width axle to fit a jeep because they don't stick out that much anyway with the right wheel on it....and if you break an axle, its just a stock part. I build whole rigs for what G2 gets for a pair of axles lol

flatline rear 44 out of abou 87-95 MJor XJ, need to move perches. the front 30 could be swaped with XJ to get rid of the disconect. I run 35's and havn't blown up the front 30 yet. the only front 44 that has a 5 on 4.5 blt pattern would be out of the rubicon. all other 44's like out of the ford are 5 on 5.5. and the have to be shortend. The G2 axle uses the 30 outers but they're over $3000. best bet would be the 8.8 that comes with 4.10 gears and limited slip. and 30 out of a XJ auto should also have 4.10. less set up time.

Ibuildembig The closest bolt in front axle will be either a 44 or a 60 out of a 78-79 ford 250/350. They are only 1/2 inch wider at the pins, so you just need to take 1/4 inch out and it will go right in there. The rears are easy, just cut the perches off and reweld

thinking of doing a gear swap heres whats there now dana 35 rear dana 30 front 3.07 gears which blow 4 inch lift 33 inch wild country Mud tires every one says dana 35/30 are junk not worth putting $ into i dont want to do this twice so what im asking is what year vehicle has dana 44s that will bolt right up and have the same lug pattern just bought 5 new rims tires dont want to have to buy different rims

PS im a good welder have a mig tig and arc welder car lift etc
so im not scared of some fab work just seeing if theres any easy way out Thanks
