SulVento Awesome.....I did basically the same thing...my carrier was with Rotopax and I have my Hi-Lift on my bull bar (front bumper)...so a shovel got mounted.......might have to throw an ax on there when I hit the trails too!

Utilizing mounting locations on tire carrier

My OR Fab tire carrier has mounting locations for jerry cans and a hi lift jack. Well since I am using the rotopax carrier by Desert Snake Off Road and my hi lift is on my hood via ACE billet hi lift mounts. I picked up some quick fist clamps and mounted a shovel and full size axe. There are also holes on either side which will be used for a CB antenna and a rear facing 60 degree diffused Rigid Dually(which are not on yet). Here is the pic, I think it turned out awesome.
