OEM fog lamps vs aftermarket

My '05 TJ X didn't come with fog/driving lights and I'd like to add them. MOPAR sells a factory kit with everything including a new multi-function switch for around $220 (eBay). Is this the better option or would an aftermarket set up be less expensive and better? I'm leary of taking apart my steering to install the switch...last vehicle I did this to turned into a nightmare.

BTW: Merry Christmas to all! Hope everyone got what they wanted!!!
