Cam0143 We should all plan a small trip somewhere together. So that way no one goes alone.

Sorry if this is late but im located near Detroit, closer to Grosse Pointe, and good areas to try your first would for sure be the mounds. Took my stock jk there and wasnt forced to do trails i didnt want to do, unlike alot of places. The only problem is too much mud not enough crawl, so its either you get stuck or you dont, no real challenge Bundy hill is more of what it seems like youll like: crawling but nothing serous, up, down hill, little mud areas. Theres also silverlake but ehh, 4 hour drive:/.

sevenservices For ThumbJeeps we have;

Color Tour around Oscoda (we were invited by the club What Lies Beyond) Sat. Oct. 6 2012 (this saturday) Prob. about 9 or 10am. They are salmon fishing in the morning then doing the tour. If your interested in heading up to Oscoda Saturday morning please PM me and I'll send my cell number over.

Saturday October 13 is our local (Southwest Thumb) color tour. We'll be having a meet and greet lunch at 12pm then hitting back roads over through Millington, Frankenmuth and Vassar. Then back to Mayville where we started from... There will also be an hour or so stop in Frankenmuth where we'll split and either go to Bronners Christmas Wonderland or The Frankenmuth Brewery.

The following weekend on Sunday Oct. 21'st we'll be meeting up in Caseville for a color run through Sand Rd. all the way up to Port Austin. Then we'll travel the waterfront back along M25 to Caseville. Meeting about 1pm...

If you want to head N for any of these please PM me as I may not be subscribed to know something was posted here...

Thanks!
Chris

HaloNHorns2002 Any fall trips planned? I just got my '99 Sport mid-August and haven't had a chance to take it anywhere not paved. Boo pavement! Totally new to off-roading, and eager to learn!

miethead Offroading jeepers is a good group I have wheeled a few times with them. And look forward to more. Go to their website and join, introduce yourself and be sure to check out the upcoming event section of their forum. No dues or crazy requirements

My granddaughter and I had a great time as well. It was a very good, low key family event. We visited three cider mills and Wolcott Mills Metro Park for the cider festival.

StingRay66 Google "michigan 4x4 clubs" and watch for local club meetings and hit a few to see who you think you would like to hang with. there will also be treads about runs that you can join in on
