|parrot head||Check the ground on the left tail light. It is probably coroded and when you use the brakes the brake light on the left is grounding itself through the turn signal circuit causing the left front turn signal and the indicator light to glow.|

i had the same problem with two of mine and a buddies it was the blinker switch on the column. The fix... replace it. you can pick a new switch up at Auto Zone for $42 and it is easy to switch it out.

you have a short in the circuit.
Start at the light fixtures themselves. Tear em apart looking for corrosion and clean accordingly.
I get this problem a lot on the semi and it's usually just a bad light assembly.

sometimes when i hit my brakes my left turn signal pops up on the dash and stays there until i let off the brake. my front turn signal will light up too. neither blink they just light up and stay on until i let off the brake. I have also seen other jeeps with the same thing at stop lights. ANY IDEAS?
