halflife I had the same issue. It was the fuel lines connecting to the gas tank. I had snapped my bolts off the rear driveshaft and the jeep sat for about 2 weeks until i fixed it. Got back in and while driving the line burst and started leaking fuel. not fun.
I just replaced the fuel lines, hooked everything back up and now my pump does not work. Any ideas on where to start? with key on I have power at the rear pump plug but it was only reading around 7 volts.

whiteyj Yep. A couple of sources.....Obviously under the hood at the carb or injectors. Second is at the fuel tank. On my 94 I smelled fuel and saw splash marks on the tank. When I dropped the tank I found that the gasket between the tank and the fuel pump / sending unit was rotted. Want to say it was like $20 at the dealer. Local parts houses only had the gasket if I bought the $200 fuel pump.

Any of the old rubber near fuel is a suspect.

87YJnTX had one member on here with same problem, he finally dropped his fuel tank and found his fuel lines there were rotten and leaking.
