|cd84||So everything is okay then? It must have been something with my old axle then because even with the t case in 2wd the left front tire would turn the front driveshaft when it was on jack stands|

|SandyMushYJ||That could be correct because when you spin the drivers side and the drive shaft is not turning, the other side of the differential is spinning up to the point of the disconnect. Make sense?|

Front axle engaged or not!?!?
Okay I'm really confused here. I recently put 4:10 gears in the front of my yj. The PO had 4:10's in the back and 3:83's in the front. Of course my stock 4wd vacuum is bad so I temporarily had my fork bolted over. Yesterday I took everything apart and put a 4x4 posilock kit on. At first I had it on and tested it out and thought it didn't work but when I put it back up on jack stands I did the wheel spin test. On my first axle if the jeep was in 2wd and the axle wasn't locked the front right tire would spin freely without turning the front driveshaft. If I spun the front left one it would turn the drive shaft so when the axle wasn't locked and it was in 4wd only the left front tire would have power pushing my jeep sharply to the right. Now with the 4:10's I spun both tires and neither spun the driveshaft unless the collar was over not even the drivers side tire. So is this right could this axle have a different kind of differential? I'm just confused and I want to make sure nothing major is wrong any help is appreciated thanks.
