Gear Shift Stutter?

Pretty new to the forum, recently got back into Jeepin' after my 03 Element was totaled.

I'm currently in an 04 TJ Sport with an Automatic Transmission, everything is standard as far as gearing goes. The original owner had some bald 31 10.50's on it so the first thing that I did was put some new ones on as well as some new 15x8 steel wheels.

I have noticed that when I hit about 15mph (especially accellerating out of a turn) I seem to be searching for that next gear and it stutters until it locks in.
has anyone else experienced this problem when going from stock tires to 31's or higher? any suggestions about what is causing it or what I can do to stop the stutter?

Thanks in advance for your input!
