In addition to protection, I also needed a functional step for my wife. Detours Drop-Kick Slyders accomplishes both.

Gary2 mine don't budge , I modded them a bit so they are close to the body and ridged . They have no effect where I can drive but they do help getting in for my wife and I am slowly finding myself using them more often at 57 yo. As an Operating Engineer I have had my share of climbing operating heavy equipment for the last 35 years. I never thought I'd get old either but I had a surprise ahead of me as will others .

Now Getting Back to the TOPIC, no, it doesn't sound like you have them installed correctly. Mine are a solid mount to the frame and don't move at all and I use them for bouncing off trees, large rocks, etc. Much cheaper than repairing my tub.

First off, what brand of Nerfs do you have and can you post a picture of how they are currently mounted? Need more information, as the saying goes
Mine are solid also when I step on them. As well as have taken one hell of a beating on the trails! they are a bit dinged up, but still work great!
Good Luck!

Sorry man, I have no idea how they go on, but I wish you the best of luck in getting YOUR jeep looking exactly how YOU want it to.

Take them off and throw them as far away from your jeep as you can.

Unless you are planning not to go off road....

Imped The rubber disk is a body mount.

Nerf bars are pointless.

Hope that helps.
