astro-jason Just get a belt for one without a/c and put it on, problem solved, no need to remove the compressor. Had to do the same thing on my 05 till I found the bearing for the a/c clutch. Advance Auto Parts belt part# 750K6 $17.99 for the belt.

Hope this helps.

mhopton There is an A/C compressor delete bracket out there that mounts to the compressor mounting plate and has a pulley wheel to maintain the same belt. Or, I believe, you can get a non AC belt, pull the compressor off and route the belt appropriately.

Check RockAuto...have seen it somewhere.

2005 Jeep Wrangler air conditioner compressor

I have a 2005 jeep wrangler x 4.0 liter engine and my air conditioner compressor has gone bad.. I know there is a bracket and pulley you can buy to replace this instead of buying a whole new a/c compressor but i cant seem to find one. I am wondering if anyone knows if i can even get one for my vehicle and if so where? Thank you!
