mmasuperman12 alright man thanks, well i think we are heading to desperados for a bit, if you ever head this way shoot me a pm. i dont think i go on nights till mid march hopefully

MR.CLIFFORD I lost a liver in Desperados. Every Wednesday and Sunday they had Karaoke night and my best friends brother ran the DJ booth. His fiance worked the bar so we got free drinks all the time. I wouldn't be surprised if Marvelous Marvin still sang there. If you hear of him you will know. It was a mostly country bar so I only hung out there on Wed/Sundays.

I don't know about tint anymore. I always came home for that service. I had a good hook up in El Dorado. I don't remember the name of the exhaust shop I went to but I can find out. It was on Commercial street. Custom muffler something or other. Or I know of some really great places in Wichita but they only work during the week.

I still have some friends in Emporia that would know. Call the John Deere dealership. I think it is called Deere Trail Implement. Ask for Adam Turner. Tell him Andy Clifford told you to call. He might know better on where to get some exhaust work and tint work done. He is a jeeper and a new dad. If you knew what he looked like I'm sure you'd run into him at Despados.

I grew up taking trips to John Redmond Reservoir. Caught my first fish there. Burlington is close. They used to have a pimp bait and tackle drinkery. But last time I was up there it was closed down. There is plenty of fishing around Emporia when you get outside city limits. Or you can hang out at the bars and fish for local college hotties.
02-19-2008 10:37 PM
mmasuperman12 ill play some beer golf hell why not, hows the fishin out there down towards burlington? kinda near the plant i got all my fishin stuff, i know its winter contimplated tossing in the ice fishing gear but hopefully it will warm up soon
02-19-2008 10:36 PM
mmasuperman12 OOOOOH and anything you guys can think of that would be cool to stop and look at on the way. pretty much from pittsburg to topeka on I70 anything intersting on the way or just damn flat?
02-19-2008 10:34 PM
MR.CLIFFORD 4? We should play beer golf for your initiation. 18 sounds better!
02-19-2008 10:32 PM
mmasuperman12 ill get a day a week off, and when i first get their i dont know when we go to nights yet. but untill we go on nights and we are working days that means weekends off which means i need some one to show me a good bar or 4.

got a bunch of friends from work, one is another fellow jeeper from new mexico gots himself a CJ and YJ, wicked good group of people. looking forward to gettin out there never spent anytime in the midwest.
02-19-2008 10:29 PM
MR.CLIFFORD Hell I might have to make a trip to Emporia. Any of those days you don't work grave yard?
02-19-2008 10:27 PM
mmasuperman12 well if yall see a black GMC CC duramax with maine tags thatll be me. hope to see a couple good lookin jeeps since im selling mine and even if i dont sell it ill be 1500 miles away from it
02-12-2008 12:17 AM
mmasuperman12 well i went online and looked at the local paper in emporia and found a help wanted section and there was a listing for the heartland cafe...anyone know how this place is and what it is exactly..i mean i know cafe duh. but like how is it where is it located, is it "safe"

MR.CLIFFORD The bar in the hotel is pretty small and doesn't get that much traffic. So if she wants a decent commission for being there I'd suggest some place else. Price of Diesel is usually less than the national average. It ranges around 20-22 cents more per gallon over unleaded which is around 2.85 give or take the day.

Cigarettes? You're on your own.
02-06-2008 01:42 PM
mmasuperman12 yeah the paper mills in maine are pretty bad but when i was in VA i was near a tyson plant there too....pretty sick. i was kind of looking around for a job for my girlfriend while we are out there not to far from the hotel i think she is calling about working inthe bar right at the hotel. im just wondering what are diesel prices and price of cigarettes, do i need to stock up before i head out or are they still somewhat bearable. TIA
02-05-2008 03:15 PM
MR.CLIFFORD Then it should be pretty easy for you to get around. Walmart, Dillons(grocery), and tons more are right up the block from where you will be. Unfortunately, you are right down the street from Tyson. Just wait for a day where they burn off all the blood and you will want to leave town.
02-05-2008 02:53 PM
mmasuperman12 i wil be staying at the roadway hotel i think, we were trying to find a house to rent for 5 of us but the hotel is pretty cheap so i dunno. the bars wont be draining to much money becuase i will be on nights working 7pm-7am...joy.

I lived in Emporia for 5 years while going to college. I'd highly suggest you stay away from Mary's place, Bruffs sports bar and grill, and Pyramid pizza. All 3 will drain your money faster than 50 cent taco nights at Babes(also in Emporia)

Do you know what part of town you will be living in? I'm really familiar with the place and still have tons of friends there. A couple of them are jeepers too. I can get you around town if you need to know where something is.

Coyote_94YJ Stay away from the flying monkeys.

Na, I think you'll be alright. We're real friendly in Kansas.
