Gary1129 Here in jeep service land we just pop the top weatherstrip off and run a light bead of 3M trim adhesive, reattach the weatherstripping and close the door for 30 minutes.....it wont come off again til ya rip it off forceably....honestly its hardly worth a trip to the dealer......its literally a 5 minute deal that anyone whos tall enough can do....Gary

door seal

The driver's side door seal on my 08 has come off twice now - it was very cold outside and when i went to shut the door it sounded funny so I got to looking at it and sure enough the seal came right out. I pushed it back in both times and for 2 weeks now it's been fine - but it's a bit warmer too. I've promised myself that if it happens again it's going to the shop.

COJeeper I guess I should have the dealership replace the bad seal, huh? Thanks!

Same here

I have an 07 and the seal on the passenger side is bad. What happens is glue (a black tar link goo) comes out of the window seal and sticks to the door seal. The "stickyness" causes the seal to pull out.

Passenger side door seal problem

I have taken my JK back to the dealership twice on the door seal coming off. It is a full door & it seems the top "sticks" to the area where it meets the softtop parts & then it pulls the seal off. Not a big deal--but on a brand new 08 vehicle it is frustrating. Anyone else having this issue?
