Reckless Robb I agree. I see alot of Jeeps in Mountain Home also, However .....the ones I've ran into are mostly garage trophys ( No Dirt allowed).

Prestn I see lots of Jeeps around Mountain Home. I wave at all I see! I wish the Jeep community was closer in this area. I wonder how many hit this site.

Reckless Robb Cool!!
Will do on the messages.......
Come summer I'll be ready to haul my XJ down to " Central Arkansas" for some play time. It's definitely on my "To Do" list. I do need to finish some bullet-proofing though.
Haven't looked yet but where is Fulton Co. in relationship to Baxter?

Maybe I can talk some of you into coming up and helping cut fresh trails and what not. I currently have 160 acres with a little bit of everything (rocks, creeks, steep hills, mud & about 8 miles of trails from easy to moderate). Some different insights would be fun for this project too.

Have to see what we can do..Little different kind of meet & greet (chain saws in hand)... eh?
Let me know when you're next visit will be... We property in Fulton Co. that we run cattle on... I frequent the area, and would love to come over and see what you've done.

jmcc75 Rob you ain't kiddin!!! Russellville is a college town (with 1 bar), a retirement community and has the only nuke plant in the state. No wonder everyone here is a pot head or cooking meth

bcpaddler Come down to central AR and ride with us on the 12th

Reckless Robb Wow! It really is Dead in our area isn't it?
01-09-2012 08:46 AM
jmcc75 I can't remember which roads it is, but there is a back way from dover to branson missouri using logging roads and 4x4 trails. I think it takes about 4-5 hours instead of the 3 hours by highway 7. I'll get an old truckers map and try to figure it out if anybody wants to hit it up sometime.

Mountain Home Area Trails

I've seen posts from years earlier looking for people & places in the Mountain Home area to wheel. So thought i'd open it up again, see what we have for 2012.
How bout it?
Anyone looking for places to wheel? anyone have land to play on for small groups?
Maybe we can come up with an inter-county (Baxter) trail system ( just a dream probably)
I've recently purchased a small chunk of land in Baxter county and have been cutting trails for approx 8 months. Most are tight cornered, and have small branches to be trimmed however, some you could drive a semi down....still need alot of work. So far it's good for about a 1/2 day or so of fun.
Let me know what kind of interest is out there in our area.......
