TJWenatchee The problem most likely is in the linkage. Need to find the cause and correct it.

Coastiejeep Hahaha I just had the same problem. Did have a t-case drop installed and removed it? if so that is the problem you need to put it back in to correct the angles of the your linkage.

Lando25 Make sure that the linkage is connected properly to the transfer case.

4 wheel drive lever stuck

I have a 1998 Jeep TJ and noticed that the 4 wheel drive lever is frozen in the off position. The car otherwise shifts through the normal gears no problem. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks Carol
