right now i got 2'' coils, the jks acos, and the jks bl.. i have plenty of clearance for 35s right now.. and ill keep the suspension the same except for the new cas and then ill tube fender my jeep out
but new cas, sye and driveshaft, and either a 8.8 or a d44 to put in the rear.. damn i got a lot to do
Haha, that was the plan but then something happened to change my plans. A buddy had a D60 rear end with 4.10 gears and a Detroit locker and I bought it from him for $150! So cant very well go lower and stay on 33's. So my new plan is now to get a 79' F150 high pinion D44 front axle with 4.10 gears also and lockouts. Then Im going to weld the spiders together and have a "selectable" front locker with the lockouts on the ends of the axle. All I gotta do it turn them so they are "locked" and viola, a fully locked front end as well. Plus Im finding those front axles for about $200. Then about $100 more and I will have some new brake pads and resurfaced drums/rotors. Im welding/building all the bracketry myself too so thats not gonna cost anything. Larger axles naturally need long arms (in my book) so thats why I decided to get the RE LA upgrade and keep my 4" coils. Then I will build an adjustable front trac bar and build some longer discos. Finally top it off with the new meats when I come accross a good deal and thats what shes gonna be ridin on come early summer. Of course I have other little things here and there as well. Im still doing a Ford Taurus electric fan conversion and turning my dads old scuba tank into an on board air source. Also gonna build a gas tank and steering box skid of my own and maybe some tube doors. Then I got a old cherokee front hub that Im using as the base for my swing out carrier rear bumper. I think that about tops it off. Hopefully I can clear 36's with just my 4" coils and a 1.25" JKS bl if I must. But I dont want any rub and I wanna be able to flex well so it it warrants I will buy longer coils. Oh yea, how could I forget, also gotta get a sye and new drive shaft when I get the money.

GrnTJ Right. Unfortunatley I only have stock upper arms. The skyjacker kit has lower arms (I never would have bought this kit for the price it is brand new if it were my jeep but it was on here when I bought it) but not upper. So I guess I may just build my own upper fronts or buy them if I have to. Thanks for convincing me guys, I guess the LA upgrade is the way Im gonna go. Then I will get some new shocks to replace the crappy skyjacker ones with too. Then I will probably get a JKS bl and mml and clear the iroks when Im ready for them. Thanks for the help fellas and any other input is certainly still welcome.

sry for the thread jack..

need to do a sye and debating on sa jks adj cas all around, a 3-link rear conversion with sas for now.. or maybe a re la kit
ok i just realized the same thing about that lift. i think its because its the upgrade. you cannot use that lift with stock springs. you have to have at least 3.5-4" of lift to run LA. so yes i bet they are thinking you allready have the SA lift in order to UPGRADE to the LA lift.

350chevrolet HOLY SH!T those are some d@mn good prices. personally in your situation i would get the LA kit save up 500$ then get the sye and ds and ditch the drop.

tazmann910 Wow, that is a tough choice. I am kind of in the same spot right now...but I am looking at gears, lockers, axles, SYE and DS. I am happy with my suspension lift.

But back to you...The short arm kit will run you about 1700 all said and done.

the long arm kit will run you about 2000 all said and done...my vote is for the long arm kit and buy the SYE kit from them and you will be good to go.

Help me spend my money guys!

So right now I have the Skyjacker 4" standard lift with Skyjacker hydro shocks. Lets just say the ride isnt the best. Its not terrible but Id like something a little better. Even more important, and the real reason behind this, is that I want better flex. At first I decided I wanted the RE 4.5" superflex lift. I like it because it comes with everything I would need short of shocks to get a better set up. It has all 8 control arms and a new trac bar. Basically it is precisley what I wanted. The only downside is that its still short arm and Im not sure how much better my ride will realy become, I would probably just get better flex and a little bit better ride. The real thing that draws me to that lift is the deal I found. They throw in a free SYE and Tom Woods drive shaft with the lift. At 4.5" that really sweetens the deal. But then I see the RE long arm upgrade thats available. I know that if I get that my ride will increase drastically and my flex will be much better but then Id have to keep my old coils and also wouldnt get the free SYE and drive shaft with it. But it does come with a free set of shocks with it. So at 4" and long arms Id have to stick to keeping my t-case drop. Unless I try a 1" bl and mml. That may allow me to pull out my t-case drop but that would be a gamble and I could still have vibrations. I just hate that drop. But long arms would be really nice. I also dont have an adjustable trac bar though and that 4.5" kit comes with one. So I ask you guys, what should I do? Im running 33's and I also may be a little worried they'd rub with the long arm upgrade at full flex but I would just adjust the bump stops so thats not a big deal. But both kits are almost the exact same price too so Im stumped. Links to the deals I found are as follows:

Help me out here. What would you do if it was your Jeep?
