Gets me an average of 18.2MPG on the dash and in my calculator.

I agree, it sure seems like the lower gear ration should produce lower RPM's than your '07 had.

Odd...
VROOOMJ,

I know this isn't the place for this but... My 07 with the "unecomomical" old V6 averaged at least 22/23 at 65 with a real mileage check not the computer although the computer was usually close. I know this new Pentastar is supposed to be more economical and my 2012 is just breaking in but I'm not even coming anywhere near the old one with 4.10's? The reason I traded the 2007 was for the new trans and Pentastar, very disappoined with 15/16 mpg even breaking in. :-(

Thanks for your reply

Hi All,
New member, new Jeep but not new Jeep owner #24 since 1st CJ 5 "Tuxedo Park" in 1965! Yup you got it, an "old guy! New Wrangler is a '12 JK Sahara Unlimited...auto with 3:73 TracLoc. Question already...

Last Wrangler the same 'cept '07 auto with 4:01 TracLoc, at 65 mph that ran at about 2100 rpm, new '12 at 65 mph with 3;73's runs 65 mph at 22/2300 rpm? Is this due to new 5 speed auto...would think final drives would be the same? I was thinking with lower rear end my rpm's on this new one should be lower. Tires and wheels the same?

Thx
