scot68 Carriers and axles are interchangeable. Only the ring/pinion are different (reverse rotation on the HP30). However if your considering a Truetrac it will replace your stock carrier. Same holds true with ARB, Detroit Locker, E-Locker and Ox to name a few.
Are you aware the Truetrac is not a true "locker"? It is basically a Limited Slip Differential that uses helical cut gears instead of clutch packs.

locker for hp30 diff

Good evening folks,I've got a question concerning my front diff (hp30).I'm regearing and am adding a Detroit Truetrac. Is there a difference between the carriers of a lp30 and a hp30? I know there is between the gears themselves (reverse cut and standard).Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
