Trying my best!

Please bear with me - I'm new this forum experience. Hello to all, I've been reading a lot here this past week. The information available here is Amazing! I just got my first Jeep last week - '97 Sport, 5-speed, soft top and 161,000. After reading here and watching some linked videos - I'm ready to start fixin her up (ball joints, hub/bearings and u-joints to start.) My top is due (seriously due or more tape is needed) for replacement - any recommendations? Thanks!
