Buffalo Ray Thanks all, I will start at 28 psi and see how that feels.

Jerry Bransford Generally speaking, the bigger the tire the lower the air pressure it requires to support any given vehicle. 29-30 is about right for a 31x10.50. Lower pressure for a lightly loaded Jeep, slightly higher for a more loaded Jeep.

fan of fanboys Maybe I'm off here but I run 31 or 32 on my tires and I have 31inch tires.

s3nt3nc3d I think I used to run 28 in mine...lil high, but I did it for higher gas mileage. I'm running 24-26 in my 33's.

surferbob Yeah just checked the Tj forum for tire pressure on 33's and their running them at 25-28 with 34 on the highway. I'd agree with Sherpa. Gonna let mine down to 25 tonight and see how she handles. Probably make for a softer ride than I'm used to.
Keep ya posted

Sherpa Others in this forum have stated the "optimal" pressure for a TJ on 31s is 26 psi. I used to run 25 psi on the street, but lately I've bumped it slightly to 26-27 psi. (When I'm off the pavement, I typically drop to 15 psi or less depending on the terrain.)

While the tires can handle it, I'd say 32+ psi is too high for a 31" tire on a TJ (unless you're towing or fully laden).

surferbob I run my fronts at 34 and the back at 32. It's what Bob Jane tire mart told me

surferbob The tire shop I bought mine from said 34 psi on the front and 32 psi on the back. I've got 31 pirellis

air pressure?

What's a good air pressure to run for everyday driving with 31x10.50 15's?
