You have a JK. This is the TJ tech forum.

Maybe JK's are different.

TJDave Same length springs, spring rates vary. My '04 "X" Hardtop only model had the same exact springs as my friends LJ Rubi, according to the tags on the stock springs.

I-Want-A-Jeep Alright then... Looks like I may just go for a full shock/spring lift then. I'm just not keen on doing 2" spacers with stock shocks. Figure if I'm gonna shell out the extra $$ for extended shocks then I may as well get the full kit.

jwm1986 The rubicon springs are no taller at all. They just have a slightly higher spring rate - which does equate to a hair more lift vs standard coils. I doubt you would see an inch tho. Be lucky for a half inch...

Shocks are identical.

Rubicon springs/shocks vs "X" springs/shocks

Isn't there an added 1" in the stock Rubicon springs and shocks over the stock X springs/shocks?

i was thinking about going with like a 2" spacer kit but could put on a Rubicon spring/shock set and do like a 1.25BL instead for quite a bit cheaper probably..

What's the thoughts?
