cut open the top of the gas tank, put the evap in, put a piece of up-to-spec metal back in the gas tank, reseal gas tank.

Actually, thats the kit I'm looking at. Saw the episode and contacted Ian about it. He said he ended up putting the canister in the tub behind the seat just flipped from the stock position. Told him my spacing problems and he said he's going to measure and see how much space the can actually takes up.
I'm hoping it doesn't take much space and hoping I'll just be able to put it behind the back seat. If not, I'm sure I'll have to get creative and put it in the engine compartment or something.

|AzTJ||Like George said, I watched the show too... there are a couple of Gen-Right kits though. One that will move back 5" and 7". The GenRight tank will allow a D60 to be moved back 7" from stock(with the comp tank)... and I think a D70 housing is bigger. So you might not be able to move it back any more than maybe 5-6". So the only way to move it back the full 7" would be a fuel cell... which you have no room for. Either trade someone your D70 for a D60 or find a 14bolt(which will be cheaper to build).|

i was watching this episode today (http://www.powerblocktv.com/sites/xt...08&ep_sea=0801)
and they installed a gen right and they said it moved it back 7 inches and still allowed the evap and stock fuel lines to stay in place. It allows for the rear axle to flex fully without hitting the gas tank. at least, thats what they said on the show.

Relocating Evap Canister
Here's the scenario: '03 TJ w/ 35's and 5.5" RE lift, etc, etc.
- comp cut rear
- flush led the lights
- put in gen right tank
- stretch back 6"
- drop in a dana 70 (overkill, but price was right)
- switch to coil overs
- put on 40 or 42's
Question is: where can I relocate the evap canister? Two headaches: must keep rear seat and seat has already been moved back 5" so there is really not a lot of room back there.
Anybody have any ideas? (any pictures of what you did?)
