YJoelKellogg well i decided i would just fabricate a bracket, and since im going to have to do that i went back to the junkyard and got some seats out of an eclipse. well see how this goes.

YJoelKellogg I just measured the distance between the bolts on the sliders that mounts the sliders to the seats. the measurement i got was roughly 12.5". Can anybody verify this??

Wow. I didn't know that Sunfire seat will fit into a Jeep. I have Thermal aftermarket heated seats w/ the flip of a switch on the dash of my 88'. Only problem is, I can't chase down a short for the passenger, so only the driver's warms your buns. I like them very much. They are almost exactly like the original buckets. Jeep on!

YJoelKellogg I took them right out of a 2 door sunfire. hmm.. this is weird. ill just take them back tomorrow and take the jeep brackets to make sure they fit. Thanks everyone! Ill be posting more pictures tomorrow once the seats are in.

blazerone22 The 4 door car seats didnt fold forward but I think would bolt up... Mine are from a 99 2 door... looks like the same color and matierial of mine...

dmblair Yeah, something isn't right then. Maybe they came from a 4 door and not a 2 door. If I remember right the 4 door seats won't line up and some drilling will be required.

YJoelKellogg the jeep sliders dont line up at all with the holes in the sunfire seats, its off by at least 1.5 inches. could the pick a part mislabeled the car??
01-26-2012 04:51 PM
dmblair I took the sunfire sliders off the sunfire seats and put the jeep sliders on the sunfire seats. Is that what you are doing?

blazerone22 Your Jeep sliders should bolt tight up to the holes in the seat... Mine were from a 99 3 door sunfire...

Replacement seats dont fit??

I just went to the pick a part today and pulled the two front seats out of a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire (2 door). I looked on the forum and online and found that these among many are a direct bolt in. but when looking at all the hardware cannot for the life of me figure it out. any suggestions?
