MikD Dorsilfin, 35's work great, 33's will leave you "wanting". Save yourself some cash and skip the 33 step in the process.

If your even debating it....just do the 35's. You'll get the 33's, realize they look small, and wish you went for the 35's to begin with. Hell, might as well just the 37's and get it over with now

eh384 Attachment 1007673 It's been awhile since I've done some wheelin with everyone! New Jeep is almost done, and ready. I just put on the AEV heavy duty rear bumper/tire carrier and Bushwhacker flares. Is it just me or does the flat flares make my 37's look small with the 4 inch lift? Next project is the front bumper and Warn winch, then I should be okay for Mikes.

MikD It's actually a mini car, wanted her to be a "driver" from an early age. As soon as she started driving it we began training techniques I learned years ago while working on a pit crew in college. By 9yrs old she was comfortable with full lock drifts, threshold braking, and the basics of chassis dynamics. She could pretty well explain how the suspension stores energy and when it releases the car will be thrown into a new direction and you must anticipate it or you spin (she likes when the car spins out, you can hear her giggling). Some of my best memories have been doing this stuff with her. This will be her last season in this car as she is outgrowing it, has her eye on my RZR, told her when her feet can reach the pedals its hers.

There are some vids of this under 09mikd on youtube

Steve936 I can't get my 7yo daughter off of her ATV...she's now asked about racing it. I'm going to have my hands full as she gets older....

After some serious work today...The frame has been reassembled and married to the axle. I am going to have to extend the landing leg as the lift and tires have netted 8" of overall lift.

MikD No the porperty is in New Windsor, southwest of Newburgh. Its a small place but the terrain is varried and lets us create a lot of fun mildly challenging trails. Totals out to about 4 1/2 miles of trail so it takes several hours to get a group through.

The lift and shocks were bought during a sale for $490 (list was $1100) the skids were $500 (csn get them now much cheaper from eauto), the tires came from a forum member who was parting out his rig, 5 new 37's for $1000, and the bumper/carrier came from eauto for $500. There are other small items as well but they arent really needed so I don't count them as part of the build. Plenty of fun for the trails and decently armored for a reasonable amount of money. That being said you can do it for considerably less money if you do your homework, we've had guys run 37's with insane flex for just a few hundred dollars.
My gf is going to hate you . I'm living in Newburgh not far from Algonquin park... I'm assuming you guys are hitting trails on property going towards wall kill/new paltz area?

Where in Newburgh is your spot? I'm down in westchester where there is nowhere to go and test out my new jku but I'm in Newburgh almost every week.
