mistermicroscope I built the bumper forward like that so I can change the fog light bulbs so I don't have to unbolt and remove the bumper.

mistermicroscope I had to make a filler panel between the grille and bumper to keep out leaves and cheese.

mistermicroscope I was going to do that too like the first guy. The tj bumper is just too thin to do any kind of good yankin'
That's why I made heavy steel ones. Real pain to cut and drill that thick steel. Welds reals easy though.

Big Sarge

Those are about the best pics I have. I did use the JK hooks. I did mine a little different than you did as I retained the stock TJ bumper under the JK bumper. I have used the hooks twice so far and have not had any issues.

Could you send me a larger photo of yours on the red jeep? Hard to see the small photo.

You used the jk hooks. Are they solidly mounted to the chassis or just decoration?

I like the look of the snaggle tooth and wanted them to be able to be used. My hooks straddle the chassis ends on 1/4" welded steel bolted to the frame. ticker than the bracket where it was bolted to on the jk.

mistermicroscope First day out with the new bumper. Just want to see confused looks on people's faces.

Big Sarge And just as a side note..... If you get 6" flares (i have the bw pocket flares) they will be flush with the end of that bumper

Big Sarge I put one on mine as well and have gotten tons of compliments. Just need to wire up my fog lights still, have been putting it off. I have a week of next week so that's on the to do list.

That's what it would look like without the applique haha.

Though there is a JK at my local dealership that has a darker middle section, that would probably look better against the dark green

MrKevinRosales It is a stubby, we just didn't cut the bumper all the way in. otherwise it would have been wider than the fenders.

like i said before there were really no modifications done to the JK bumper except the stubby end conversion kit. and it was put over the stock bumper which was cut and drilled so that this bumper could just be bolted on.
