|InvertChaos||I REALLY like my ome shocks. I started off with your exact setup but with the RC shocks and it was a horrible ride. OME NitroSports are much more stable and dampen a lot better. I think you'll find that your Jeep will go pretty darn far off road with that set up provided you have an engine skid and even further if you eventually do a TT like I plan on doing.|

|3025826||They have a lifetime warranty don't they? From what I've read rancho does a pretty good job of honoring it. And I would think that if you are running the rancho myride wireless air adjustment from inside that it would prevent this from happening|

If you get the Rancho 9000XL, and if you live in an area where roads are salted... be advised that the salt will get into the adjustment mechanism and cause rust, resulting in the shock adjustment mechanism seizing, and loss of ability to adjust settings.
If you get the Rancho, take the plate off of each shock with an allen wrench (two screws). The adjustment knob comes off with the plate (does not pull off like the old 9000s). Treat the mechanism inside with some antiseize to prevent rust. I'd suggest rechecking each spring after the snow/road salt season is over.

need opinion on shocks
Well im buyin parts over the winter for my buildup. So far I have my tires, rims skid plate bla bla bla.
Now im $900 away to finish my build. I need wheel spacers 1.25, shocks, 2.5" lift springs (going with rough country)without shocks ( I hear bad things about there shocks) and bump stops. The shocks im looking at are
rancho 9000 xl cause you can select the ride quality BUT a litle pricey.
Front are $75 each (a litle over my buget but not a deal braker). The rear however are $145 (way over my buget for now).
Second option are skyjacker hydro 7000 at $55 each front and back wich is really in my price range. Annybody have these? So I was thinking.
Can i buy front rancho 9000 xkl and rear skyjacker hydros(for now till i have $$$ to buy ranchos for the rear) Will this set up give me a wiered handling?
