Nano My Jeep is my only vehilce. The only time I regret that is when someone hits my Jeep (twice in 3 years) and I have to suffer with a car while the Jeep is in the shop. I was thinking of getting a second Jeep for when my current one is in the shop. That way, when I'm 'finish' modding this one (like that'll ever happen) I'll have another to start on!

My job and house are 5 miles apart. I found that I spend less money on gas a year than someone with a Cobalt, because of the distance we live from work.

Chris M Mine's a DD. I don't care to own more "stuff" than I really "need." So we own two vehicles, my Jeep and my wife's Santa Fe. I don't care too much about gas prices with these things either. I drive about 6 miles round trip a day and only put about 6-8K a year on my vehicle. Good for me.

I did think about keeping my F150 before buying my Jeep as a work truck to haul stuff around, but then decided I'd rather have the cash and used it as a down payment on the Jeep.

183Beast I DD mine until I break it/replace stuff. Then I take the Truck till I'm done.

Ditto that. My bike is my DD My Jeep is for when it's freezing, pouring, when there's twisters on the horizon or when I feel like getting dirty.

jazzy jeff Yeah, I drive my company van all week and only drive my jeep on the weekends or if I need to run out in the weekends! Kinda sucks but it keeps it exciting when I drive my jeep!

Chigger I'm lucky. I walk across the street to go to work.

I really only drive (my vehicle) on weekends, holidays and vacation.

Abdul-Hakeem Yes, especially because to fill a Jeep 100% is only about $8-$9 here. It's much better than my former Hyundai Accent for a daily commute, just a little slower which is fine. It's quiet enough and not any rougher than any other car on our horrible roads. I find it totally comfortable and all anti-DD propaganda is wrong, except as to fuel costs in Western countries.

Aardwolf I drive my big truck five days a week (600 miles per day)
and my Jeep two days a week (100 miles per day). Anything
smaller wouldn't be safe with all the crazy drivers out there!

jeepnurse DD to the tune of 2 lifted jeeps, TJ and ZJ. My wife and I try to ride to work together whenever possible, but still spent over $400 on gas in January.
03-02-2008 09:13 PM
Riptide63 Yup. 18,000 miles in the 11 months I've had it, and I still enjoy every minute of it. I must admit the gas is killing me, though. May have to start looking for a cheap econo-beater before long if they keep talkin $4 a gallon gas.
