Cooleyblues - Have you already gotten a new JK or driven one yet? I'd highly suggest you go test drive one. In stock form the perform pretty well. We are not talking about 12sec 1/4 Mile times but they do pretty damn good. If you do end up lifting it a little with larger tires, the only thing(best thing) to do is re-gear the axles. That alone is usually a $1200 job. But I can say for sure that a stock JK does pretty good offroad. THis is a guy I know who ran his stock JK on a 3.5/4 rate trail behind me and did fine. The only mods he has are the fender flares and sway bar disconnects.
It may say Rubicon on his, but its not.

|orange05tj||Mine does pretty good as for accelaration and highway. I work in CT and do 75 all the way there. I'm not sure how its going to be when my new tires come in this week, but hey, its a Jeep. If I wanted to be a racer, I'd buy a race car. Welcome to the site btw. You wont regret getting a Jeep.|

now, knowing that these things are built for off road, i was just wondering what you guys thought about it on road. i'm pretty much going to be a weekend warrior kind of guy, so during the week this will be my daily driver. i was wondering about acceleration and highway power, as well as how it pulls up hills.
