I shop at a Volvo specialty shop a lot, and every product page tells the live count of that item. I have actually seen the number drop at busy times. Very helpful. And the order history page gives fairly accurate estimates on when an item will be in, should you go ahead and order something that is out of stock. It tells this this before you check out, too.

I think Quadratec has something like this now. But it is much more limited.

I wonder if such inventory control software is really expensive over the stuff many of the smaller 4x4 shops use. It seems that if they keep tabs on what they have that telling us as we shop would be an upgrade to their system and website that would not cost too much and would end up fostering some good customer relations due to the apparent transparency and honesty in the ordering process.

Otherwise, the way it is on a lot of sites seems like they simply want your money NOW and that they feel like, "Screw you, man. You'll get your parts soon enough. Quit whining!"

Hope you get your water pump soon!
4wd hardware has been TERRIBLE with shipping stuff since it merged with 4wp. I have to wait weeks to get something from them nowadays when back then I would have it within three days or pick it up free that same day. I never deal with 4wd hardware anymore since quadratec usually has the same part IN STOCK ready to ship.

Sad.

I'm actually just a retail manager (tractor supply) but spend many hours on the lift. The only witness around was a truck driver I was about to unload. As I'm hooking the winch cable up he said " you think that lil ass cable is gonna pull that fork lift ?". To which I replied....is this your first day? And my Jeep did its thing. Lol.

Most drivers I see are good at all things trucking. Not this dude.

If you walked in our shop with a set of these fenders, it would probably cost around $500 to paint them. A couple hundred more to blend into the side.
And you want to use an epoxy primer on those bare aluminum parts.

Yes they come with the honeycomb fillers. I think they sell louvered fillers too.
Thanks for the info man. ill post some updates when the fenders come in and i figure out what im doing. The good thing about aluminum is i can just leave them bare on the jeep untill i come up with a plan!

The bracket is a standard L bracket with a mirror button screwed to it. We use something similar to it to mount our front facing cams securely.

I actually can see quite a bit better, I use to lose half my mirror due to the 33''s but now there is only a small section at the bottom where I can see the tire.

I drove across town today and noticed that the mirror is a little loose somewhere as it has a slight vibration. I hung my GoPro from it and it stopped shaking completely. I think I'm going to try putting a couple rubber washers between the bracket and the windshield frame. As we had to do something like this for our rear cams at work to act as dampeners.

But all and all I think I'm gonna like it mounted like this way better than before
