QADaemon If its not a driveshaft U-joint, the throwout bearing would be my next guess from that area.

BLK00TJ Pull the front DS and see if the problem goes away. If it doesn't, put the front DS back on and pull the rear DS and try 4hi.

jeepjones It could be a whole bunch of different things, a few things to check would be: Front axle unit bearings, front and rear drive shaft ujoints, front drive shaft CV joint, trans/transfer case lubrication, muffler bearings.

squeeking loose noise

I am hearing a squeeking noise coming from what sounds like the area right below the stick shift. I have looked but found nothing loose, has anyone had this problem b4? My tj is a 97:2.5l on 33's. Suggestions pls this noise is driving me nutz. Oh it goes away sometimes when i am turning.
