Baby Huey Your Experiences will add up....Your working on Audi's, VW's What ever...Each time you work and learn about another brand or series you gain that knowledge . That makes you worth more $$$$$$ in the market place, the more you know.
You will always have "PITA" bosses to work for, thats life, get used to it . Knowing Bosses and what they want out of you is part of the game. Show them that you are there to make them MONEY $$$$$$ . Do your job, keep your mouth shut and you will be fine.
Starting over at the bottom of the food chain in another company can sometimes be a good thing, sometimes not. In these days Job security is something of the past. I was fortunate enough to work for the same company for 30 years, not always a good time as the company changed hands but it fed the kids and bought the house and cars and most of the toys..... Hang in there , bring home the paycheck !..... "BH"

1jeeplvr Well I had to give my decision to stay with the company or go with the new company to my boss a month or so ago.I decided to give the new people a try, damn tough decision.
Ive been with the new people since & so far its been really good. They matched my pay & kept our real decent pay plan we had & liked. We also to keep 3 wks of vac where as the company usually only does two wks.He says he doesent want to change the stuff we had which was cool.Theres a few changes I dont care for like getting paid bi weekly. Thanks for the input everyone.

rivershark2005 I was recently put in a similar situation. I worked for this old guy that was the best boss to have. He sold half of his business to a guy from out of town. It just so happened, I was employeed within the half of the business he sold. He offered to let me come work for him, doing a job that I was doing before I came to work for him (and the main reason I came to work for him in the first place). I decided to stay with the new owner and see how it worked out. I'm glad I did. My salary has gone up by 50%, I am the new manager (since the owner isn't there very often), and I still get to work with a group of guys that I really like.

If you like your work and like the guys you work with, it will probably be worth it to stay. You'll only have to deal with the new owner every now and then if he's only going to check in once a month. I'd say give it a chance, then if you don't like the new guy, try to find something else.

As JDsDream said, you've answered your own question.
02-04-2012 07:31 PM
JDsDream If you are satisfied where you are and you like the people that you work with, I would just stay put. You have already mentioned the pros of staying and the cons of leaving. The only negative you mentioned about your current situation is rumors about the new owner. Take those with a grain of salt. Don't base your opinion of them on hearsay, judge for yourself. After the new owner steps in, if you don't think you can handle their managerial ways, start looking for something else. Just my opinion.

pls help with job issue.

So Im a Audi tech but I do service out of our VW service bldg.Im the only tech in the bldg who does Audi. Our main store is about 10 miles away, where a majority of Audi work is done.So the owner sold the VW franchise only ,so I need to either 1-work on VW with new owner,in same bldg but is getting upgraded,no biggie,I have VW experience, and will continue to work with people I know & like
2-go to Audi store(against that, someone I do not get along with is there & theres barely any room there as it is)
3- Go to a Volvo dlr owned by a totally different person,no idea how it is there.

The only prob is I have heard from some that new VW owner is lets say not so nice, pita to work for.No idea if its true, just heard. What do I do???
