Yes you can run up to 33's, your speedo will be off by 5mph at 60 mph but you'll still have good torque and fuel mileage

Wrangler06 sounds about right to me..and for the 5 speeds the 4.0s were 3.73s unless it was a rubi..6 speeds have 3.07s

jeeply thank you Wrangler06. i cant see any diff tag under there but going by the rpms it seems right. at 60mph its at 2100rpm in 5th gear. thanks again.

Wrangler06 probably 3.73...check to see if your diff tag is legible...both differentials have a metal oval shaped tag on the left side of the diff cover...theres a bunch of numbers on there but the first 3 numbers on the 2nd row of numbers will be your axle ratio, being an 04 it shouldnt be rusted out too bad so you might still be able to read it.
