soupy1957 Gary,
The soft top that came with it when I bought it, didn't come in a box. I have a box for the windows though.

"Climate controlled" eh?! Ok, lemme put it in YOUR basement!! (lol).

Couldn't I just wrap it up in somethin?

Gary1129 It takes me nearly 2 hours to replace a soft top......Its not something you will want to do every year( unless yer gettin paid)...I would guess that there are 20-30 or so screws attaching it to the front header and roof bars give or take but Ive only done 2 so far.....Id leave the new one in the box and stick it under the bed or somewhere else thats climate controled.....Past experience shows me the soft top on your jeep should last at least 5 years with no special care.....the windows go first but are replacable for reasonable(300 bucks) money.....Gary

Storing a Rag Top

Since I now (finally) am free of the "Freedom Top," and have a new "Rag Top" on my 2008, this now means that the new Rag Top that I received and put in the garage for Spring is on hold til needed.

I don't know the life expectancy of the Rag Top on my vehicle, but with proper care, I 'm guessing a number of years isn't presumptious, right?

What is the best way to store the Rag Top in my garage, to avoid rotting of the material or anything like that? Think I should rotate tops each year to keep from having to store one long term?

Also wondering about the current top on the vehicle, and its need (or perhaps it doesn't need..)of being re-coated with some sort of rain-repellant spray or whatever.
