Looiet87 Any tips? I had trouble with the cutting when it came to the sides.

08Jeep90 My state it is 30% all around. I went with 20% front and factory on the back. Mixes well, have friends with 5% and havent had any problems.

The law here is 33% on front doors and no limit on the back windows. My front doors are darker than that and I never had an issue with getting stopped. It does get difficult seeing at night but worth it since its the same strength as my back windows. I bought it this way.

ya no city cop is going to fret over such trivial equipement violations when they are so busy with bigger things. i have never had an issue on my limo tint on my benz here in the valley for over three years now, but the moment i hit the highway to go to flagstaff, it is inevitable that dps pulls me over and walks up with their pathetic tint meters.

Bravewimp11 I have the soft top tinted since June. It's worth the try. The stuff is $7/roll. I found that the 1 roll does the 2 side windows. I didn't do the back one though.

how long have you had it tinted for? trying to guage how long your method will last

i had 15% on my challanger, so darker, the better... and i DO NOT want to use 31% replacements - if yours is holding up, ima try to go your route

It's actually 27% but most people stop at 35% to be safe.

bofa In FL I've only ever been pulled over for window tint once, and the cop couldn't give me a ticket since there was no other reason to pull me over. Never had an issue no matter how dark I went.

However, I went with legal tint in my last car. I guess I'm getting old but it was hard to see pulling out of neighborhoods and parking lights where there aren't many street lights.

Firstjeep11 Mine are 15% up front and the back is factory. It matches very well. Also a poser shot.

Thinking of 2.5 lift with my 285/70/75 duratrac. Think it would be to much. Don't offroading much.

1CrzyCelt Hopefully everybody realizes that barely legal tint according to their states codes may illegal in another. Should you travel to another state, the odds of being stopped and cited are fairly high, especially at 20%. Some states codes actually state, "vehicles registered out of state are not exempt."

oops, guess I pooped on that party.

hidro if i remember right we cant go under like 35% here in colorado, been thinking of tinting all the windows on my hard top at least

Edit: 27% according to this and nothing reflective http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/CO/
02-19-2012 11:22 AM
Bravewimp11 It took maybe 20-25min a side. I just laid the tint over the window and cut it out right on top. It's working great! No pealing, cracking or fading. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone in this forum can do it!

they can tint the soft top windows??
02-18-2012 04:23 PM
Bravewimp11 I used the static cling stuff. $7/roll. I just layed it down and used an exacto knife to cut. Stays on even when take windows off and roll them up.
