|08Jeep90||My state it is 30% all around. I went with 20% front and factory on the back. Mixes well, have friends with 5% and havent had any problems.|

Where did you have yours done? I live in Minneapolis as well and new to Wrangler forum. I can get 17% tint *dr's note* but don't know where to go in the cities

ya no city cop is going to fret over such trivial equipement violations when they are so busy with bigger things. i have never had an issue on my limo tint on my benz here in the valley for over three years now, but the moment i hit the highway to go to flagstaff, it is inevitable that dps pulls me over and walks up with their pathetic tint meters.

|Bravewimp11||I have the soft top tinted since June. It's worth the try. The stuff is $7/roll. I found that the 1 roll does the 2 side windows. I didn't do the back one though.|

i had 15% on my challanger, so darker, the better... and i DO NOT want to use 31% replacements - if yours is holding up, ima try to go your route

This kinda shoes the tint strength:
Can see the windshield banner and through passenger window on this one:

The law here is 33% on front doors and no limit on the back windows. My front doors are darker than that and I never had an issue with getting stopped. It does get difficult seeing at night but worth it since its the same strength as my back windows. I bought it this way.

here in arizona most us city cops have full dark tint (off duty in uniform, only cops will understand this so no "thats no fair" comments please) so other agencies that have take home cars dont enforce it out of courtesy. would you guys in your state extend same courtesy??

In FL I've only ever been pulled over for window tint once, and the cop couldn't give me a ticket since there was no other reason to pull me over. Never had an issue no matter how dark I went.
However, I went with legal tint in my last car. I guess I'm getting old but it was hard to see pulling out of neighborhoods and parking lights where there aren't many street lights.

Mine are 15% up front and the back is factory. It matches very well. Also a poser shot.
Thinking of 2.5 lift with my 285/70/75 duratrac. Think it would be to much. Don't offroading much.

|02-19-2012 01:19 PM|
i can only find inserts for 30%
|02-19-2012 12:35 PM|
to bad most states allow 25% percent light on the rear windows so if i ever did mine id be legel in every state because in colorado you have to allow more light (35%) through.
guess i rained on your party celt oh and this is the law for your state http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/GA/

Hopefully everybody realizes that barely legal tint according to their states codes may illegal in another. Should you travel to another state, the odds of being stopped and cited are fairly high, especially at 20%. Some states codes actually state, "vehicles registered out of state are not exempt."
oops, guess I pooped on that party.
|02-19-2012 12:27 PM|
Edit: 27% according to this and nothing reflective http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/CO/

|Bravewimp11||It took maybe 20-25min a side. I just laid the tint over the window and cut it out right on top. It's working great! No pealing, cracking or fading. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone in this forum can do it!|
