shayno i think i will go with the 4.0l swap. In the end the jeep is so far underpowered compared to the 4 liter.

lynskynbnd I'm gunna do the 4.0 swap.
going to pick up: $350 for 93 yj 4.0 complete with, harness, flywheel.
I'd spend that much on parts to rebuild the 4.2.

Plus I'll have a fresh rebuilt carb, nuttered dist/ign module, and used 4.2 to sell.

Plus, with the upgrade from 87 to 93 I get a better alternator, Ignition, and elect speedo

Timberwolf the howell kit is faster and easier than a full 4.0 swap
you could also look into the mopar injection kit

shayno
fuel injection kit or 4l swap?

So I am trying to get even more reliability and durability out of my yj. ( found good 4.0l for 550 at wreking yard with all the stuff or just get the howell injection with everything that's ready to go. And keep in mind money is not the issue.
