Anthem Hi. New here and new to Wranglers. First post, and one of many that might show just how much I need to learn...
I just went through these 35 pages and saw few if any tube bumpers. Just personal taste or is there something I need to know about say, this?

Is the absence of recovery rings something I'll regret? Is this recovery unfriendly? Other pitfalls?

Thank you! I started out with the stubby ends, then changed them to the high clearance ends. I personally like the high clearance ends better!!

The installation wasn't horrible however only seven of the eight bolts actually lined up. Admittedly I was not thrilled about using light color hardware on a black bumper to begin with. But after two days of rain and the bumper being three days old I cannot get the stains off from the rust that's dripping out of the top bar.

Only Mopar off road bumpers, AEV bumpers, and aftermarket bumpers made in Australia can made the claim that they have no change on the airbag or SRS system.

Razer MY LOD went on perfectly, and the craftsmanship is top notch. Of course I paid more, but it's well worth it to me.

Rough country hybrid bumper with rugged ridge mini stinger and a smittybilt xrc winch! A little mix n match, the mini stinger pretty much fits, holes need drilled for the top mounts, there is a little gap in between the top front stinger mounts but I figure that would be a good place to mount a DIY bracket for more lights. Love it!

Glad it you finally got something worth keeping. Looks great! Very similar to the barricade indeed.

Just got home

I removed the bumper from the box and found one edge was damaged slightly, I was really done. I spoke to Extreme Terrain and they offered a pretty decent discount on it, and said if on further review I found it to be worse than anticipated I should let them know.

I unwrapped the entire bumper and this is what I found.

One corner was slightly damaged, powdercoat was gone, bare metal was showing, not too bad

The plate to mount the fair lead is bent, theres actually a small chunk of metal missing.

The bottom edge has a few inch long areas with no powder coat, not bare metal, but flaked off.

The opposite corner of the bumper is completely bare, not only is the coat gone, there are gouges in the metal. aHaving it refinished is truly NOT an option.

Its going back, I am done. Truthfully, I am very disappointed in the delivery of this product, and how it is the Extreme Terrain continues to ship them knowing that a high percentage of them are damaged in transport.

I don't want to bash them, I spend a lot of money with their sister company American Muscle, and they are great. But when you have this type of issue, YOU STOP SHIPPING, Re-package or discontinue the product until your vendor comes up with a better solution.

Again, enticed by price, and for the third time, completely disappointed.

Jeffola I think xtryan.

At any rate, I just received notice from UPS that that bumper was delivered today I want my wife got home she sent me a picture of it.

She is not going to be capable of taking it out and checking it however from the image below you will see that I don't hold out great hope for its condition.

Yes the box is completely open good work UPS nice packaging extreme terrain

Jeffola Bumper ordered Tuesday from Extreme Terrain, the bang for the buck was simply too great to ignore. Its Friday, I have a tracking # with no package associated with it.

This thing won't arrive till Tuesday, I won't be here to check it and no one here can move it.

The best laid plans of Mice and Men!

I know that XT is a site supporter but the delay on top of the damages on top of the ridiculous amount of time it took to get the refund is insane.

quartermiler Thanks, mommymallcrawler! You are correct (and helpful as usual!)! Worth considering, made of 3/16" aluminum plate. I could easily end up selecting this one. I'm hoping to do a bit of comparison shopping before making a decision. Now if I could only come across the one or two others I saw not long ago and failed to bookmark at the time. I clearly recall one other design I liked that was made from 1/4" aluminum plate. There were several designs from this manufacturer and a purchaser could choose between steel or aluminum. Black powdercoating was available too. My "old guy"memory is just a curse sometime. Shied away from aluminum at first due to cost but just keep coming back for low product weight.

mommymallcrawler I think GenRight does aluminum.
