nicolas-eric oh no.
i need the cover. i have to make my first diff oil change after installing the lockers.

would you send me only the compressor?
then i would order the cover at 4wd.com. they have them on backorder and will get them at the 14th-18th of march.
03-10-2008 11:40 AM
White93ARB Nico-
The words of Jim:
'We won't have the diff covers until the end of the month. do you want the compressor now and we'll ship the diff cover when we have it?'
What would you like to do?
03-07-2008 09:52 PM
nicolas-eric i canīt wait to have the parts here...i alrady bought an air tank for the compressor yesterday...
03-07-2008 08:54 PM
White93ARB Yeah I got an email from Jim, and he said that he will pay the shipping. He said he isn't in the office but he will have it all shipped out next week. I'll keep you posted.
03-07-2008 08:38 PM
nicolas-eric got news...?
03-06-2008 09:59 PM
nicolas-eric ok thanks.
now i can order the other parts at 4wd.com tomorrow morning.
03-06-2008 09:54 PM
White93ARB I sent the email to Jim telling him I decided what I want and asked about shipping. He said it should be around $20. I just shipped him my locker monday and he said he hasn't got it yet, and I don't imagine he will send the stuff out until he gets my end of the deal, which was to get that locker off the street and send it back to ARB. I'll keep you posted, you won't need to get this stuff from 4x4parts, just that D30 cover.
03-06-2008 05:21 PM
nicolas-eric do you have some news?

if this fails and you canīt send the compressor and cover to me i had to order it at 4wd.com with the other parts.

03-05-2008 09:58 PM
White93ARB Yeah me too but it would just be annoying to have to go change everything for a new email address, like any websites or anything. Usually Yahoo is pretty good, and I don't think it could just be my computer...
03-05-2008 09:47 PM
nicolas-eric i think itīs time for a new and 24/7 working e-mail account...
03-05-2008 09:28 PM
White93ARB I'll make sure to let him know. My email is still messing up so I'll send it from work tomorrow if I have to. I'll keep you posted.

thank you, thatīs perfect. now i can order the D30 ARB cover and the other things at 4wd.com.

please be sure that itīs the CKMA12 and not the CKSA12 compressor. 4wd.com sent me the wrong one when i ordered my lockers, thatīs why i have the small compressor at the moment...

CKMA12:

CKSA12:

btw. i already sold my old ARB compressor for 230$, in the shops i costs 280$ over here...

EDIT: i saw where you live. perhaps we can meet us in spring 2009. i will visit my ex-girlfriends uncle then in sausalito.
03-05-2008 08:58 PM
White93ARB So Yahoo is doing the same thing as it was yesterday; when I click either 'Compose' or 'Reply', it takes me to where I can write an email, but only shows the place for email address and subject. No where to write the main body of the email. It's happened to me before and just went away pretty shortly. Hopefully it'll go away soon.
03-05-2008 08:54 PM
White93ARB Which ever cover you want, I can get for you. I'll get the D44 from ARB, you get the D30 from 4wdparts?

I'll send Jim an email in just a few minutes and tell him that I want CKMA12 and a D44 diff cover. I just sent him my locker back on monday, so he should have it tomorrow if not today, so it might take a few days for that whole deal to get processed. I'll keep you updated as Jim keeps me updated, and once I recieve the parts I'll give you the shipping quote and bank stuff.

I'm glad we can both help eachother out here. Thanks Nico
03-05-2008 07:39 PM
nicolas-eric will you order the fornt or the rear diff cover?
i have to order the other than at 4wd.com.

03-05-2008 10:55 AM
nicolas-eric matt.
that sounds good to me. when you know the shipping rates to germany, please tell me the total amount and your bank account data (in a PM). then i will make a bank transfer. is that ok for you?
thanks.
nico.

White93ARB Nico- Jim told me 120 for each diff cover. He said they do have that fitting, but didn't give me a price. But that does work good for one diff cover and that compressor, that is $300. Then I can pay him for shipping if need be, and you reimburse me when you pay for it all. Does this sound fair? Should I tell him to ship me the compressor and a cover? I can't reply to him and ask about the price of the fitting because Yahoo is messing up and I can't compose emails, it happens once in a while. Let me know.
Thanks
Matt

White93ARB I work mostly in a shipping and recieving dept. of a drag race motorcycle shop so I know all about that stuff. I'd send it through the shop but we use the post office for international stuff. Your shipping quote will probably have to wait until I get the packages, right? Have you checked on anything else you might want? I sent him an email about D30, D44 diff covers, and that little fitting you needed. Maybe it didn't go through to him, I'll try sending it again tonight if I don't have an answer from him by then. It may have been directed to his spam folder since I put a website as the subject, to show him that fitting you needed, since I can't paste into the body of an email.

nicolas-eric jeep parts cost twice in germany than in the US. when you know the shipping rates (you have to know the weight and measurements of the parcel), please tell me what it would cost. i think it shoul be about 50-60$ and that will be ok for me.
03-03-2008 10:37 PM
White93ARB No, Jim didn't get back to me today. He is usually good about quick responses, so hopefully I'll hear from him tomorrow. I didn't ask him about shipping rates, I'll probably have him just ship the stuff to me, then I'll bring it to the post office and have it sent to you. I imagine shipping will be pretty expensive, what do you want to do about that?
03-03-2008 08:44 PM
nicolas-eric did you get a mail from ARB with the price? did you ask for the shipping rates?

03-01-2008 02:45 PM
White93ARB OK...that bank fee I'm not too worried about. I just wanna make sure I can get all the free money from ARB as I can...you can't blame me can ya? They told me I have 300 bucks to spend I don't wanna just spend 180 and let them keep what remains. Thanks for the help with this Nico. I'll do all I can to make it work out good for you as long as you do the same for me. Thanks again Nicolas-eric
03-01-2008 10:25 AM
nicolas-eric i could pay the 8-12 $ fee for you. that wouldnīt be a problem...

but iīll take a look at their website tomorrow.

you have to pay a fee when i make a bank transfer to your bank account?
Yeah when I've been wired money they charge me a 8 or 12 dollar fee I'm pretty sure.

could you please find out what these parts would cost and what shipping to hamburg, germany would cost?
you could make a parcel that looks like a birthday present p.e. for presents up to 275$ i wouldnīt have to pay the german VAT (19%).

EDIT:
try to get a online quote here. http://www.dhl-usa.com/home/Home.asp
i live in hamburg, germany and my postal code is 22761.
I'll ask about a price on the diff covers and the t-fitting, and I'll let you know. It might be monday, I don't know Jim's schedule,

nicolas-eric the compressor is small and can be shipped by normal postal service (i hope so). the other things i would want are more expensive to ship...

White93ARB I'm not sure what else you'd need, theres tons of recovery gear and stuff, I just thought since I'm helping you get $400 off, you'd help me and spend a few more bucks to make us both happy.
02-29-2008 05:47 PM
nicolas-eric i donīt know what other things i could need from them. i already have ARB lockers and a snorkel...
02-29-2008 05:27 PM
White93ARB So I got the email back from Jim and he said $180 for the compressor. I would really like to get the whole $300 credit from them, so is there anything else you want to make it $300 or a little more? I could put whatever extra on top as long as you could cover it.
02-29-2008 10:44 AM
White93ARB I'm waiting on the email back from JIM@ARB then I'll let you know on pricing and stuff. Usually on bank transfers I get charged some fee. And since I'll already be using gas and running around to get this thing shipped to you, I don't want to pay extra fees too.
