I wouldn't tow a car with that bumper or a Jeep for that matter. A 4runner is more than 2,000lbs and you are exceeding the tow capacity of the Jeep and bumper.

|06 Red Rubicon||Yeah I know they don't tow rate them for insurance purposes but supposedly it's a class III rated bumper. I've read a handful of stories about people towing cars with them and not having any issues with cracks just wanted to hear from the crowd any opinions.|

|Lithium Lotus||Most bumpers are not tow rated for liability reasons. I wouldn't feel safe towing a small car let alone an suv with a Wrangler.|

|daggo66||Check the specs. I'm pretty sure they aren't tow rated. The built in receivers are usually just for accessories.|

Towing a car with an SRC rear bumper
I am considering buying an SRC or XRC Smitty Built bumper for my 2012 2 door rubicon to occasionally tow cars around with. I would be using a tow dolly with brakes pulling around 4runners and toyota pickups for my business. I know the suggested tow ratings and that the wheelbase limits it but I wanna know anybodies thoughts from experience on towing with an SRC/XRC and durability?
